"Jack" Steadman, Sr. (May 6, 1928-January 30, 2003) MARQUETTE -- John T. "Jack" Steadman, Sr., formerly of Lost Creek Drive, Marquette, died peacefully Thursday morning, January 30, 2003. Mr. Steadman was born on May 6, 1928 in Marquette to the late Thomas and Laura (Nowak) Steadman. Jack worked for over 30 years for the former Nystrom Moving and Storage Company in Marquette. During that time he saw much of the country and had numerous road trip stories to share with friends and family. An avid fisherman, one of Jack's greatest joys was to go fishing with his son, John. Survivors include one son, John (Faye) Steadman, Jr. of Marquette; also two grandchildren, Emily Jo and Allyssa Rae Steadman. Preceding him in death besides his parents was his wife, Mary Steadman in 1995; also a sister, Betty Rabitaille. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Zeba Indian United Methodist Church located on Zeba Road in Zeba (L'Anse). Pastor Dave Snyder will officiate.
