Trevillion, Jr. (November 8, 1929-March 12, 2001) HARVEY -- Raymond G. "Ray" Trevillion, Jr, 71, of 495 Silver Creek Road, Harvey, entered eternal life Monday afternoon, March 12, 2001, at Marquette General Hospital where he had been a patient for the past eleven days. He was born November 8, 1929 in Marquette, a son of the late Raymond G. and Alice (Cadotte) Trevillion, Sr, and was a lifelong Marquette area resident. On September 9, 1961 he married the former Clara E. Madosh in Marquette. Ray was employed as a semi truck driver for the former Our Own Bakery for over 30 years, retiring in 1985 due to disability. Although his family, especially the numerous grandchildren, came first in his life, he also enjoyed socializing with anyone and everyone. He was a helpmate and friend to many, especially the elderly who needed assistance or a favor. Ray was an accomplished cook, avid cribbage player, and in his younger years had enjoyed fishing and hunting. He attended the Skandia United Methodist Church, was a member of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians where heserved as a member of the Elder's Council, and was a former member of the Eagles. A loving and devoted father, grandparent, and brother, he is survived by: nine daughters, Cindy Trevillion of Skandia, Jacqueline Trevillion of Laconnor, WA, Deborah (Dalton) Lilly of Fredricksburg, VA, Nanette (Warren) Bentley of Epping, NH, Genevieve (Gerald) Terando of Morris, IL, Nora (Stephen) Logan of Jacksonville, FL, Lana Rosenthal of Fond Du Lac, WI, Anita Madosh of Marquette, and Sharon Mayotte of Fond Du Lac, WI; three sons, Kim (Carol) Trevillion of Skandia, Leander "Lee" Madosh of Marquette, and Jon (Debbie) Trevillion of Negaunee; numerous grand, great-grand, and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Violet Robinson of Marquette and Carol (Roger) LeBlanc of Cadillac; a brother, Robert Trevillion of Marquette; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Clara; daughter, Judith Smith; son, Gerald Madosh; and a sister, Betty Longtine. Friends may call at the Fassbender Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 14 from 5 to7 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm in the Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles West officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow in the church fellowship hall. Inurnment will be made in the Northland Chapel Gardens.
