Violet Robinson 
(June 6, 1915 - June 16, 2003)

MARQUETTE -- Violet Robinson, 83, of HC1 County Road 550, Box 145B, Marquette entered eternal life early Sunday morning, April 6, 2003 at her home, following a year long battle with cancer. 

Violet was born July 7, 1919 in Marquette, a daughter of the late Raymond G. and Alice (Cadotte) Trevillion, Sr., and was a lifelong Marquette area resident. On October 17, 1946 she married Henry Milton "Mutt" Robinson and the couple set about establishing their home and raising a family. A homemaker, Violet loved to be with her family, friends, and beloved puppy, Becky. She also enjoyed playing cards, fishing, crocheting, and watching the birds. Violet was proud of her Native American heritage and always interested in learning more about its traditions and culture. She was a member of the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. 

A loving mother, proud grandmother, and sister, she is survived by her son, Louis M. Robinson and his companion, Katy Rivord of Marquette; a daughter, Carol (Roger) LeBlanc of Cadillac; three step-daughters, Emma Jean Mourning of Los Angeles, CA, Joyce Johnson and Mary Lou Paul; her grandchildren, Ronald (Kelly) Robinson, Heidi (Mark) Simon, Mike (Jenn) Robinson, William (Nicole) Robinson, and April Robinson; 

great-grandchildren, Phillip, Jenna, Joe, Jessica, and Liam; a brother, Robert Trevillion of Marquette; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Mutt" Robinson on April 29, 1989; a sister, Betty Longtine; and brother, Raymond Trevillion Jr. 

Family and friends are welcome to come and celebrate Violet's memory at a gathering, to be held at her home, on Tuesday, April 8, from 2:00 to 8:00 pm. 

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff and caregivers of Marquette General Home Health and Lake Superior Hospice for their compassionate care of Violet and her family. Special gratitude to Dr. Cathleen Chen, Dr. Cheryl Davison, and Amy Michaels at MGH Home
