          Calvin Tower Collins, was born Oct. the 9th., 1821

          Martha Collins, was born Nov. the 9th., 1829

          Martha M. Collins was born in the city of Rochester, New York, November 9th., 1829

          She was married to Melvin W. Scott Nov. 3rd., 1852 in the village of Pontiac, State of Michigan.

          Soon after they moved to Grandville, Mich. Where they moved to the old farm sight in north Dayton (Dayton Township, Newaygo Co., Mich.) where they lived until Nov.,1900. They then moved to Fremont, (Mich.) where they have since resided.

          She came to Michigan when she was 18 and taught school in Oakland County until she was married.

          She help organize the first Grange in Newaygo County and was an active member as long as health would permit. She was a member of Fremont Grange at the time of her death.

          There were three children born, Arthur L Scott, Orange W. Scott and Melvin W. Scott.

          She was one of a family of 10 children only one of which survive her, George R. Scott of ? Mich.
