Cook's Station 1904 - 1907

Cook's Station Post Office was established on Feb. 27th, 1868, with Erastus Downing as the Postmaster. Cook's Station was located in what was then Section # 12 of Monrow Township, which is now Section # 12 of Home Township. In Nov of 1869, Myron Stone became Postmaster until the office was discontinued on April 30th., 1874. This office was a stage coach station on the Grand Rapids and Traverse City State Road. The settlement was sometime just called Cooks.
