French Croix de Guerre with bronze star, under Order No. 11.547 "D" dated November 15, 1918, General Headquarterrs, French Armies of the North and Northeast, with the following citation: "Realizing the importance of his mission, he carried messages through heavy barrages regardless of the danger." Residence at enlistment: Detroit, Michigan.
