George Horatio Dickinson was born 11 Aug. 1863, in Dayton Township. The son of William and Sarah "Barnes" Dickinson. He was married to Emily Sophronia "Titus" Maynard, daughter of Charles E. and Harriet E. "Falk" Titus, on 15th. Dec. 1896 in Fremont, Mich. Emily was born on 6 July 1867 in Hope, Barry Co. Mich. She was married first to Fredrick J. Maynard, son of John and Lois "Camber" Maynard. Fredrick and Emily had two sons; Earl Fredrick Maynard, born 1886 and Ernest James Maynard, born 1887. Fredrick J. Maynard died 24 July 1888 and is buried in the Hesperia East Cemetery. Emily then married George and they had three children, Cassie Dickinson, born 1900, Clyde Dickinson, born 1902 and Connie Dickinson, born 1911 Emily died 9 Jan. 1928 in Fremont, Mich and is buried in the Hesperia East Cemetery.
George and Emily had a large farm just north of Fremont on Osborn Ave., in Dayton Township, Sec. 26. After Emily died George continued farming for a while and he also was the night watchman for the village of Fremont for several years. When he sold his farm he moved into the City of Fremont and lived on Gibson Street. George had a large garden and sold produce to many of the worker at Gerber. He died on 5th. of May 1948 in Fremont and was buried in the Hesperia East Cemetery.
