Detroit, Mar 3, charles Ayres a prominent business man, was shot and mortally wounded yesterday by his wife, Anna, at their residence on Bagley Avenue. Ayres and his wife have lives unhappily for some years and recently the court dismissed a suit for the divorce instituted by Mrs. Ayres, and dissolved an injunction restraining Ayers from entering the family residence. It was while at the house yesterday packing his personal effects, that the quarrel took place between Ayres and his wife, that led the latter to shoot her husband. Mrs Ayres is under arrest, and Ayers is in the hospital and not expected to live.
