Mrs. Eileen E. Fox died March 31, 2001 in Gaylord, Michigan. She was born September 29, 1927, in Gaylord and lived most of her life in Johannesburg. She was a 1945 graduate of Gaylord High School and attended Ferris State University. She spent four years in Detroit where, on October 10, 1948, she married Frank Fox who precedes her in death. In 1949 she and her husband purchased her grandfather's farm in Johannesburg. He worked for 19 years and most of that time she was employed by the Agriculture and Soil Conservation Service. Mrs. Fox is survived by: 1 daughter: Mary Ellen Fox (Peter Amar) of Gaylord, 1 granddaughter: Katie Amar-Fox, 1 niece: Sandy (Nick) Chafee of Gaylord, 1 nephew: Steve (Mary) Tomaski of Johannesburg, 1 sister: Jean (Alex) Tomaski of Gaylord, 1 aunt: Helen Yankie of Johannesburg, and several grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services: Wednesday, April 4, 2001, 11:00 AM from the Nelson Funeral Home, Pastor Chris Richards officiating. Visitation: Tuesday from 4-8 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery.
