Transcribed from The Petoskey News Review of September 19, 1977 Submitted by James Shearer Anna S. Kucharek, 77 Funeral services for Mrs. Anna S. Kucharek, 77, of Elmira, will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, Elmira. Rev. David Gemuend will officiate and interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Mrs. Kucharek died Sunday at Little Traverse Division of Northern Michigan Hospitals, Inc. The former Anna S. Kullik was born Jan. 11, 1900 in Gaylord and has lived her entire life in the Elmira area. Her husband, Joseph, preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Thomas Church Rosary Society. Survivors include nine sons, Nick and Peter, both of Elmira, Bennie and Alex, both of Gaylord, Zigman and Floyd both of Detroit, Thomas of Reno, Nev., Bernard and Raymond, both of Lansing; five daughters, Mrs. Anthony (Cecelia) Franckowiak, of Elmira, Mrs. Leon (Elizabeth) Fettig and Mrs. James (Lucy) Shearer, both of Petoskey, Mrs. Roy (Vera) Knutson of Oglivia, Minn., and Mrs. Susan Wierzbinski of Boyne Falls; 58 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tony Kullik of Boyne Falls and Louis Kullik of Petoskey. Friends may call at the Walker-Bates Chapel of the Nelson Funeral Home, 135 N. Center St., Gaylord, after 3 p.m. today (Monday), until 9 p.m. Friends may also call Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m. K of C Rosary will be offered tonight (Monday) at 8 p.m. and a St. Thomas Parish Rosary will be offered Tuesday at 8 p.m. Both rosaries will be at the funeral chapel. |
