MRS. LORENTZ FUNERAL FRIDAY
Mrs. Albert Lorentz, who has been ill since last March and confined to the hospital off and on since that time, died Tuesday
afternoon at one o'clock at her home in Ellis Township. Complication of diseases was the cause of death.
Born in Maple Rapids, Michigan, on April 30, 1892, she moved to Ellis Township about 28 years ago to make her home.
Her maiden name was Laura Bacon and she became the bride of Albert Lorentz in 1912 in Elmira. Five children were born to
this union, all of whom survive.
Besides her husband she is survived by her sons, Lloyd and Wilbur at home and three daughters, Mrs. Clifford Roberts of
Rapid River, Mrs. Albert Rentschler of Cheboygan and Mrs. Hazel Purcey at home. She is also survived by five
grandchildren and her sister, Mrs. Sarah Dick of Lake Odessa, and one brother, Ernest Bacon of Matherlon, Michigan as
well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Free Methodist Church at Afton with the Reverend
Charles Allen officiating. Burial will take place in the family lot at the Wolverine Silver Lake Cemetery.
