(Submitted by David Koscielniak) (Dated 8/14/1930) JOE MANKOWSKI DIED MONDAY MORNING AFTER ILLNESS OF 3 YEARS Joe Mankowski, son of Mr. And Mrs. Jacob Mankowski, died about two o'clock Monday morning, following an illness covering a period of about three years. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Church Wednesday morning, interment being made at St. Mary's cemetery. Mr. Mankowski had spent practically all his life in Otsego County, with the exception of a few years at Battle Creek, where he was married. About two years ago he came back to Otsego County, purchasing the family homestead, but due to his health, he was unable to do any extensive farming. He is survived by his parents, his wife and one small child.
