Mike Smith a young Polishman age 23 who for the past two months had been
employed as a cook at Schuylers Restaurant went home sick a few days ago and
a doctor was summoned who pronounced his ailment typhoid fever. He
gradually grew worse and succumbed to the disease Monday.
