DEATH TAKES TWO VANDERBILT WOMEN

Mrs. Leon Winters Died February 17 and
Mrs. Hiram Winters died February 24

Mary Myers Winters, late wife of Leon E. Winters, whose death was recorded in brief form last week, was born at Manitowoc, Wisc., October 10, 1867, and died at her home near Vanderbilt Friday, February 17, 1928. She had been ill about two months with heart trouble.

When a child she with her parents moved to Michigan and nineteen years ago she came to Otsego County. January 14, 1914, she was married to Leon E. Winters.

Mrs. Winters is mourned by her husband, five sons, by a previous marriage, and four step-daughters: Amil and Herbert Kleinert now reside at Sunburst, Montana, Rudolph and Julius live at Spokane, Washington and Al lives at Sunset Beach, California. The stepdaughters, Mrs. Leona Clapp and Mrs. Mary Clapp live in Detroit, Mrs. Lettie Menzies of Gaylord and Mrs. Dorothy Menzies of Mt. Pleasant.

She had been a member of the Latter Day Saints Church near Bay City, and Elder Allen Schreur of Gaylord conducted the funeral services. Interment was made at the Vanderbilt cemetery. Her son, Herbert and three step-daughters, Mrs. Mary Clap, Mrs. Dorothy Menzies and Mrs. Lettie Menzies were here for the funeral.
