Later he retunedto the old homestead, and upon the death of his father in 1876 eh assumed themanagement of the place, where he still makes his home. He carries on generalfarming, and raises wheat, corn, potatoes and small fruits. He has receivedlittle assistance from others and his success is due largely to his unaidedexertions.
