Old Photos of the Original
Hudsonville Reformed Church
The church building originally belonged to the Disciples
Church with Lauren Leroy Drew as pastor.
The church was disbanded.
In November of 1912, the Hudsonville Reformed Church was organized. They
rented the Disciples church at the northwest corner of VanBuren and School
Streets from Pastor Drew. When Mr. Drew died on 3 October 1926, the church
and land were given to the Reformed Church. The parsonage is located next
to the church on the left. You will notice a fruit nursery behind the
church and, also, sheds for the horses.
This photo of the Hudsonville Reformed Church was taken at a
later time.
You will notice that the old parsonage was moved west about two blocks on
Van Buren Street and this newer one was built. In 1948 there was a fire in
the
church and it was completely destroyed. A new brick edifice was erected
and served this church for many years. They built a new church about 2002
and the church building at that location now belongs
to Trinity Protestant Reformed
Church.
