Dirkse - VandenBosch

One of the prettiest of home weddings occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. VandenBosch of Lafayette street last evening when their daughter Gertrude was united in marriage to John Dirkse of Holland.

At six thirty the bride and groom appeared under the loop of smilax and asters, attended by Miss Theresa Smith of Kalamazoo and Mr. Bert VandenBosch of this city the marriage ceremony was performed. Master Tom VandenBosch played the wedding march. After the ceremony a reception was given to the immediate friends and relatives from the hours of seven and nine.

The home was beautifully decorated with palms, asters and smilax. The wedding room was arrayed in green and white, the dining room in yellow, while in the setting toomn red was the prevailing color and lavender was prominent in the reception hall.

The bride carried a huge bouquet of white asters and the bridemaids a bouquet of red ones.

Mr. and Mrs. Dirkse left for Holland where they will make their home.

The bride is a daughter of H. VandenBosch, the well known clothing merchant of this city, and is highly esteemed, by her large circle of friends. Mr. Dirkse is a well known young gentlemen of the Cappon & Bertsch Leather Company.
