S. Census and the Ravenna, Nunica, Ottawa Center, Maplewood and Chester Township Cemeteries. Additional information was gotten from the wall in the V.F.W. Post #5598 in Coopersville, the Coopersville City plaque on Randall Street and the Marne Lions Memorial Park. Additionally, two publications containing lists of Ottawa County veterans were checked - Memorials of the Grand River Valley by Franklin Everett published in 1877, and the centennial publication of Lamont, Our Hundred Years, 1835-1935.
