Heroes of the World War Battlefields Now Enroute from Hoboken

Detroit, July 28 – Bodies of 86 soldiers killed overseas are to reach Detroit Friday and Saturday, for shipment to the former homes of the veterans, who come from all parts of the state. Seven of the dead are from Ohio and Indiana.

Company K Men to Honor Dead Comrade

Members of Company K, 126th Infantry, will report in uniform at the Armory at 1 o’clock Saturday to attend the funeral at Hudsonville of Elmer L. Barnaby. Service at the home will take place at 2:30 and church services will be held at 3:30. Members who have automobiles are requested to report with them.

LEGION POST VETERANS BURY H. M. BARNABY

Members of Carl A. Johnson post, American Legion, were in charge of funeral services held Saturday morning for Horace M. Barnaby, who died of wounds received while serving with Company K, 126th infantry, in France. Barnaby served on the Mexican border and was wounded and sent to the hospital once previous to the action in which he was fatally hurt. Rev. J. R. F. Bowerman officiated and burial was in Oak Hill (Cemetery).
