Lyle Burnham Dies Following Week’s Illness

Lyle L. Burnham, 310 ½ N. Third Street, died early today at Municipal Hospital. He was 55 and had suffered a week’s illness.

Born 11 August 1911 in Big Prairie Township, Newaygo County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Guy H. Burnham, he came her from Fremont about 30 years ago.

He was employed as a guard at the James H. Campbell Plant, Consumer’s Power Co. at Port Sheldon by the William J. Burns Detective Agency.

He married the former Mrs. Lora Reed here on 30 June 1966. Mr. Burnham attended the Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving besides the widow, Lora, are a step-daughter, Robin Reed; three sisters, Mrs. Edward (Esther) Haight and Mrs. Leo (Myrtle) Powers, both of Muskegon and Mrs. Louis (Rosa) Webster of Grand Rapids and a brother, Carl of Fremont.
The body is at the Kammeraad Funeral Home, Grand Haven.

Mr. Lyle L. Burnham, age 55, passed away early Friday morning at Grand Haven Hospital and reposes at the Kammeraad Funeral Home, Grand Haven, where services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 1:00 with the Rev. Floyd F. Kanipe officiating.
Interment will be in the Big Prairie Cemetery, Newaygo County at 3:30. The family will be at the Kammeraad Funeral Home Friday and Saturday evenings between 7 – 9 o’clock.
