Conklin George , Coopersville Observer, September 13, 1929George N . Conkin, aged 70, a former resident of this community, died Thursday morning, September 5, at the home of his niece, Mrs. Jacob Mulder in Grand Rapids. Mr. Conklin resided for many years on his farm on the Town Line, now known as the Derks place, and many of his old friends and neighbors called on him in Grand Rapids, during his last illness, in an endeavor to cheer him by recalling the happy days of the past.Surving are two nephews, James and Charles Locklin, and four nieces, Mrs. Jacob Mulder, Mrs. Roy Huntington, Mrs. Frand Matz and Mrs. Audra Turner. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock in Grand Rapids. Interment was made in the local Advent Cemetery. |
