Grant Edson, 78, died Saturday, 23 May 1998 at Hospice of North Ottawa Community..

He was born 3 Aug 1918 in Hudsonville to Guy and Pearl (Whipple) Edson. On 19 Aug 1939 he married the former Carolyn VanLoo in Zeeland, MI. During WWII he served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the Grand Haven American Legion Post #28.

Survivors: his wife, Carolyn; son, Gregg (Dorothy) and four grandchildren, Christine, Alicha, Kathy and Ryan Edson; five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
