Coopersville Observer April 8, 1910 Allen C. Floyd Allen C. Floyd was born in Orleans County, New York, June 25, 1839, and died in Coopersville, Michigan on March 29, 1910. He enlisted and was mustered into the U.S. service at Grand Rapids, Mich. October 9, 1861, and served in Co. F, Michigan Engineers and Mechanics until discharged for physical disability on January 8, 1863. He was married to Mary E. Fuller on July 4, 1863. To this union three children were born, two of whom have preceded him to the spirit world. His wife and one child survive him. He was converted in April 1870, and joined the F. M. church soon afterward and has been a consistent honored member, many times served on the stationing committee. The church has lost a valuable member, his family a loving Christian husband and father and Coopersville a noble Christian citizen. The funeral was held in the F.
