Herman Hoogewind, aged 71, passed away at his residence, 4136 Remembrance Rd., NW, Sunday morning. Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Hattie Hoogewind; one son, Albert of Grand Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Francis (Agnes) Knoper and Mrs. Elmer (Grace) Berghorst, both of Grand Rapids; ten grandchildren; five brothers, Jacobus, Lucas, Dick and John Hoogewind, all of Grand Rapids; William of Marne; a sister, Mrs. Christina Vander Veen, residing in the Netherlands; a brother-in-law, Mr. Harm Daling of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held at the Van’t Hof Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wilmer R. Witte, officiating. Interment Washington Park Gardens. Mr. Hoogewind reposes at the funeral home, where relatives and friends may meet the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Monday and Tuesday.
