Charles H. Howe

Charles Henry Howe was a Civil War veteran and a member of Co. G, 25th Michigan Infantry. He enlisted as private from Lockport, Michigan in Co. G, 25th Michigan Infantry on September 11, 1862, and transferred out on April 1, 1865.

Charles Howe was born June 1, 1838, son of Amos Howe and Mary J. Smith. He died in Clark Memorial Home in Grand Rapids on August 30, 1917, age 79-2-29. He was a retired minister of the M. E. Church.

Charles is buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Lamont, Michigan, next to his second wife, Lily Howe, born 1854 in Lamont. Lily was the daughter of William M. Blakeney and Sarah Matilda Angell.
