Dr. Henry Hull

Dr. Henry Hull died at his home in Ravenna last week after a week’s illness of paralysis from which he suffered several strokes. He leaves a wife, a daughter, Mrs. John McNitt, of Washington, D. D., two grandsons, and a host of friends.

Dr. Hull was born in Marietta, Fulton County, Ill. While attending the Prairie City Academy, he enlisted in the army, May 2, 1864, when but 17 years of age.

He was wounded at Memphis, Tenn., and was honorably discharged. After teaching school three years near his home town, he came to Michigan where he attended Michigan State University at Ann Arbor for three years and was graduated from there for medicine in 1872.

He located in Ravenna, May 31, 1872 and began the practice of medicine, which he kept up for nearly 40 years.

The funeral was held last Sunday from the home, the Knight Templar having charge. He was a 32nd degree Mason and was a member of the G. A. R.
