Coopersville Observer, March 23, 1900—The funeral of Charles Lord of Tallmadge was held here Tuesday in the Congregational church, Rev. Krose officiating. The interment took place in the Maplewood Cemetery.

Charles Lord was a veteran of the Civil War. He enlisted in Co. G, 46 Wisconsin Infantry on February 2, 1865 and was mustered out on September 27, 1865, at Nashville, TN.

Charles Lord was born March 29, 1836, in New York, son of G. W. Lord and Betsy Keyes. He was the husband of Sarah Ellen Lord. He had two children and was a farmer. Charles Lord died of La Grippe and heart failure on March 17, 1900.
