Farmer Is Found Dead, Death
Termed Suicide Hudsonville - Ivan Lowing, 47, was found fatally wounded in his home four miles northwest of here late Friday. His wife, investigating after hearing the report of a gun discharge in the basement, found the body. She said her husband had been despondent over failing health. Coroner John Winter of Holland investigated and termed the death a suicide. He said no inquest would be held. Lowing was caretaker of the George Macauley farm. The body was taken to the Wolbring funeral home here. Surviving are the widow, one daughter, Mrs. Gerald May of Hudsonville, four sons, Max, Keith, Kent and Garth. |
