Maxfield, Ira, Coopersville Observer, April 1907 Ira L. Maxfield died at the home of his sister, Mrs. L. Ackerman, in Muskegon, March 29, 1907. He was born in Lamont in 1853. His home had always been in that little village until last fall, when he secured employment in Muskegon. He suffered a severe attack of la grippe, but was not considered serious until a short time before his death. His remains were brought to his other sister’s home in Coopersville, and from there taken to Lamont for the funeral, and buried by the side of his father and mother in Maplewood Cemetery. He leaves two sisters, S. Hunter, of Coopersville, and Mrs. L. A. Ackerman, of Muskegon. Obituary from Coopersville Observer Obituaries by Henry and Loekie Boersma. |
