Charles W. Rose
Lamont—Charles Rose died at his residence last Wednesday, aged 61 years. He was buried on Friday, the services being held in the Congregational Church, Rev. Geo. Heator officiating. His funeral was largely attended, a number from the G. A. R. Post of Coopersville, as well as all the Grand Army boys of this place, were present to pay their last respects to their beloved comrade. He leaves a wife and ten children to mourn their loss.
(Charles Rose served in the U. S. Navy, USS Chochura, during the Civil War.
Charles is buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Lamont, MI, 1836-1898)
