Coopersville Observer, August 27, 1909 Henry E. Shuster Henry E. Shuster, aged 74, died at his home in this place Sunday morning, August 22. Apoplexy and heart trouble are believed to have been the cause of death. Henry Shuster was one of the best known residents in this section, having been postmaster and resident of Berlin for fifteen years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Stars, and at the time of his death was treasurer of the Local Blue Lodge. He was a veteran of the Civil War. The Masons had charge of the funeral services The deceased was survived by one son, Walter, of Grand Rapids, and three daughters, Mrs. J. B. Chappell, of Grand Rapids, Mrs. E. C. Greiner of Berlin and Mrs. Theodore Greiner of Wright Township. Those from outside that attended the funeral were Thos. Befferan and Wm. Alden Smith of Grand Rapids; Judge Kirby of Grand Haven; Mr. Shuster of Warren, Michigan; Mr. and Mr. Benj. Jones, and Austin Laubach of Belmont; M. De Graff and Mrs. Macy Ives, and the Masonic lodge of Coopersville. |
