Coopersville Observer, November 8, 1912 Mrs. Alvira Sickles In the death of Mrs. Agostino D. Sickles, which occurred at Conklin, Thursday, October 31, 1912, the community lost one of its earliest settlers. She was born in Orleans County, N. Y. in 1839, and came to Michigan with her people, settling at Dennison. In 1858, she was married to Agostino D. Sickles who survives her. To this union were born eight children, five of whom are living, two sons, J. L. Sickles, of Evart, Mich ., and Alvin D. Sickles of Conklin, Michigan, three daughters, Mrs. Adeline Lillibridge, of Muskegon, Mich., Mrs. L. B. Stewart, of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Hattie Garter, of Ferrysburg, Mich. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Gilbert Hodges, of Mesick, Mich., and Mrs. G. W.
