Clinton Thomas, Coopersville Observer February 1901. Clinton L. Thomas, who enlisted in the regular army a year and a half ago and who was stationed at Puerto Rico until recently when his company returned to the States, was stationed at Vermont where he died last week of pneumonia. His body arrived here Monday and the funeral was held from the M. E. Church Tuesday and he was laid to rest in the Berlin Cemetery. The funeral was largely attended and the casket was covered with beautiful flowers, the Berlin school furnishing a fine floral piece of roses. Clinton was twenty years old and formerly a pupil of our school and was loved by all. Transcribed by Joan Van Spronsen Coopersville Observer Obituaries by Henry and Loekie Boersma |
