Grand Haven, September 1--- Arthur Vander Hoef, seventy-seven, a Civil War Veteran and resident of this city for fifty years, died today in the hospital at Ann Arbor where he was recently taken for an operation. He was a member of the One Hundred Twenty-Fourth Ohio Infantry and prominent in the local G. A. R. Surviving are two sons and two daughters. The body was returned here for funeral services and intermet in Lake Forest Cemetery.
