Broer Van Dyk, one of the veterans of the late war, died Friday of last week at New Holland, MI, age 47.

(Broer Van Dyk (Van Dijk) was born September 28, 1842 in Wonseradeel, Friesland, NLD. He enlisted in the 13^th Michigan Infantry, Co. I on December 12, 1861, at the age of 19, and was discharged for disability on May 10, 1862. He is buried in North Holland Cemetery.)
