Eliphalet Walcott was born in Canada, April 19, 1830, and passed from this life on April 19, 1903. Mr. Walcott came to the township of Wright, April 19, 1846, where he resided until his death. Mr. Walcott seemed impressed that April nineteenth was an eventful day in his life. On April Fourth, the family celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary, at which time Mr. Walcott was unusually well, but on his seventy-third birthday occurred the fatal stroke which ended his earthly career. He was taken with a stroke of apoplexy and died instantly. He was a veteran of the Civil War and was wounded in the battle of Stone River. Funeral services were held Wednesday and the interment was in Berlin Cemetery.
