Marietta(e) Hutchins Walcott
Marietta Hutchins was born in Hudson, Lenawee County, Michigan, March 14, 1843, and died July 24, 1904, aged 61 years, 4 months and 10 days.
She came with her parents in 1858 to Wright Township, where she has ever since resided.
April 3, 1867, she was married to Elijah Walcott. They were the parents of four children, three of whom are living, Horace, Nellie and Archie.
It was her wish to be a mother to the motherless, and at different times in her life she cared for motherless children.
She was a conscientious Christian, a devoted wife and an ideal mother. Her last testimony was that she was "glad she loved the Lord."
Funeral services were held at the house, Tuesday, July 28, at one o’clock
