Last Sunday it was just fifty years since Cornelius Steketee, of this city, his parents and brothers and sisters landed at Holland, Michigan, which at that time --July 17, 1847--was a wilderness. It took them 63 days to make the trip over the ocean, coming directly from Borselle, province of Zeeland, kingdom of the Netherlands,--Muskegon Chronicle.
