Mrs. Anna Kleiber Passed Away After Long Illness
Mrs. Anna Susanna Kleiber, Hawks resident, succumbed to a four-year illness Sunday, November 30th.
Born Anna Schepke in Germany, September 3, 1874, she emigrated to the United States at the age of twenty, and was married in Posen in 1897 to Charles
Kleiber, who passed away 35 years ago. Surviving are five children, Mrs. Marion Baryo and Paul Kleiber of Flint, Mrs. Rudolph Weide (Martha) of Bolton,
Anthony Kleiber of Clio, and John Kleiber of Hawks, with whom she made her home; 24 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren; two borthers, John and
Charlie Schepke of Hawks; and a sister, Mrs. Anthony Haske, of Metz. A son, Charles, died in 1952. Prayer services were conducted Wednesday morning at
9:30 at the Gatzke chapel, followed by 10:00 o'clock servies at St. Dominic's church in Metz, the Rev. Zigmund Gaj officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
