Archie Whitman
Funeral service for Archie Whitman, 53, of Tower was held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Karr Chapel. Elder Ernest N. Burt,
officiated and interment was made in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Tower under auspices of the George Garms Post V. F.W. of Onaway.
He was born in Bay City May 2, 1906 and had lived at Tower for the past forty years. He died at the Veterans hospital
in Saginaw April 23, 1959 after a lingering illness.
He was married May 7, 1928 in Tower to the former Martha Sands, who survives.
Also surviving are two daugthers, Mrs. Edna Hillie of Port Huron and Wilma of Tower; two sons, Oscar and Hayden of Tower;
two brothers, Ernest of Pontiac and Harry of Lapeer, also serveral nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
