 				LYNN YOUNG GONE
			Nipped in the very prime of life.
				Was Universally Liked

	It is with a sense of having lost a personal friend that The Outlook scribe
chronicles the death of Lynn Young.  After a short and violent illness from lead
poisoning, contracted while painting and decorating, at which he was expert, he died
last Tuesday morning at 4:00 o�clock. 
	Ransom Allynn Young was born in Dixbor, Washtenaw County, Mich., April 5,
1881.  He moved with his parents Dr. and Mrs. John Young to Presque Isle County, when
but three years old.
	He attended the district school and the Onaway High School, also Ferris Institute
six months and took the Teacher Training Course at Ypsilanti.  He was the first teacher in
ward school No. 1.  The next year he taught geography, geology, and physiology under
Superintendent Gates.  
	Following a severe attack of pneumonia, his health failed and he went to
Knoxville, Tenn., he remained four years.  He took a year and a half�s work in electrical
engineering at the University of Tennessee, and had his trunk packed to finish his course
at the Tri-State College, Angola, Ind., when he was taken with this illness brot on by lead
poisoning, some ten weeks ago.
	He was a member of Masonic Knights of Pythias, and I. O. O. F. orders under the
ritual of the last named order, he will be laid to rest beside his father this afternoon.
	He leaves his brother Frank, sister Miss Margaret and mother to mourn the loss of
