CAPTION: There was a sale at Brewbaker's! It was a post blizzard sale and there was a very good reason for it. The warehouse roof collapsed and everything was moved to the store. The showrooms were over stocked. Wait for it- "thousands of dollars worth of merchandise must go!" a 1978 Outlook predictably stated. In real Onaway News, "Effective immediately. Russell Memorial Hospital has restricted visitors to the hospital and is presently under a flu quarantine." So, flu was a problem then, as it is now. At the hospital, there was only one designated visitor allowed per patient for the length of that patient's stay in the hospital. Staff offered to hand-deliver notes to the rooms. One of the best bargains around was at Brown's Market in Millersburg where three loaves of Oven-Glo bread was $1.09. How about an eight-pack of 16-ounce Cokes for $1.69? That's about the price of one today.
