 CAPTION: Wintertime at Camp 18


  This camp sat in T34N-R2E Sec 26.  Driving down 3 Mile Highway to the east, one can stop where the Little
Rainey crosses and see the grade going southeast and across the Little Rainey Road.

  Camp 18 was a large camp that was mostly located on the Fred Garms' farm.  Some oldtimers tell that school
was held there at one time.  In our extensive research on the area school system, we were never able to 
document this information.

  The picture comes from our family photo collection.  The second and third gentlemen from the right are John
Newsted and his son Wallie Newsted, who are my wife's grandfather and great-grandfather.
