John and Mary McArthur Family Contributed by Candace Pettersson

 				 McArthur, John and Mary Lamb arrived in Presque Isle County sometime in the 1870's
from Grand Island, NY.  They are listed in the 1880 census and the story of John's
untimely death in 1882 as recounted in the 29 June 1882 Presque Isle County Advance.
 John had also served as Superintendent of the Poor of Presque Isle County and Chairman
 of the Board of Supervisors of Presque Isle County.
