CAPTION: Despite unusually warm weather a group of moose hunters returned from Canada with one large bull and two cows. Local businessman Paul Balliet and friends Leonard Rieger, Tower; Ray Tucker, Percy Tucker and Jack Tucker, the first two brothers of Onaway and Tower and the third of Saginaw, had made the trip in previous years with great success, getting a moose for each hunter. In other Onaway News, B & C Super Markets was advertising several deals on a full-page ad. A bottle of Heinz catsup was only 28 cents; 2 1/2 dozen eggs, 99 cents; 1/2 gallon of ice cream, 49 cents; Plath's boneless hams 79 cents a pound; and four bars of soap for 27 cents.
