Jim Hall asked members of the Onaway Area Community Schools board of education to consider
conducting summer athletic clinics at the school. He said a number of students traveled
during the summer months at considerable expense...Victory Kuhlman was named Presque Isle
County undersheriff by sheriff Mike Peltz. Kuhlman was a longtime police officer, graduating from
Onaway High School and attending Alpena Community College. From 1969 to 1971, he served
in the armed forces as a member of the military police. He was hired by former sheriff Mel
Smith.
