1970 - Presque Isle Bank Back In Control of Local Investors From Presque Isle County Advance and Onaway Outlook November 5, 2020

  
CAPTION: It was 50 years ago this week, Harry H. Whiteley (lower left) was elected as
a new member of the board of directors at Presque Isle Bank.  Board president J.S. Blasky
said this: "We are pleased that Mr. Whiteley has accepted the invitation to serve as a 
member and feel that he will contribute greatly to the Presque Isle Bank.  Whiteley, who
is a commissioner at the Department of Natural Resources is well-known, not only in this
area, but enjoys wide acquaintances throughout the state of Michigan."  Whiteley passed
away Tuesday at the age of 100.
