CAPTION: Onaway, Mich.
This week's postcard is from our own collection. The picture is taken from in front of the high school, where
the steps went down the to the sidewalk, going both ways, to load onto the school buses. There are 30 cars parked
along South Pine Street (now Veterans Drive) and Shaw Street. the cars are mostly from the early 1930s. One
would have to ponder what the occasion was. On the left one can see the Hudson Bonner residence that still stands
today. Only three of the beautiful maples remain on South Pine Street today. The last car on the right side is
parked in front of what most of us know as Edna's Store, today the store is a chiropractor office.
