Caption #1: This postcard is dated 1939.
This week's postcard was taken from the intersection of State and Elm streets, looking east.
One the right side we start out with Johnson's Meat Market. Next we have the bakery, and then Wimpy's
Restaurant, which some of our readers knew from high school.
The State Theater still has its overhang to protect the waiting crowd from bad weather.
On the left side we have Guile's Drug Store, Henry's, Merritt's Restaurant and a barbershop, the pool
hall and Bonner's Repair Shop.
