John Washington Meddaugh/Middaugh, and his wife, Mary Thibaudeau/Thibodo.  John W. Meddaugh received a land patent in that area for 160 acres, on October 30, 1857.  He had moved there at a young age, after being born in Canada in July 10, 1835.  His parents were Robert Middaugh/Meddaugh and Nancy Udell. There was an extensive newspaper article published in the Sanilac Jeffersonian on April 15, 1910, on John Meddaugh and his life in Worth Twp.

This is a picture of the 50th wedding anniversary for Louis Elmer Meddaugh, and his wife, Mary Eleanor Parker Meddaugh.  Pictured with them are their children, from left to right, Mary Margaretta Meddaugh Herron (my mother), Irene Pearl Meddaugh Simpson, Hazel Rose Meddaugh Vroman, Mary Parker Meddaugh, Louis Elmer Meddaugh, Johnny Meddaugh, Earl Vernon Meddaugh and Floyd Meddaugh.  This photo would have been taken on November 18, 1943, since they were married in AuSable Michigan in 1893.

This is a picture, probably taken in the 30's, of some of the Meddaugh clan in Croswell.  They had all moved to the Alpena area, and were visiting Croswell.  From left to right, we have Mary Eleanor Parker Meddaugh (take note of that hat!), her mother, Suzannah Mary Thornton Parker Mullon, Louis Elmer Meddaugh, my mother Mary Margaretta Meddaugh (daugher of Louis & Mary), Mae Meddaugh (wife of Johnny Meddaugh, their son) and her son, Jimmy Meddaugh.

This is one of many picture of Raymond Meddaugh.  This shows him with his obviously younger brother.  I do not know whose children these are, but suspect, since there are so many pictures of him with or without his brother, they are probably sons of one of the brothers of Louis Elmer Meddaugh.  I highly suspect they are sons of Martin Meddaugh the first child of John Washington Meddaugh and his wife, Mary Thibaudeau Meddaugh.

These folks are my grandfather's grandparents, on his father's side.  My grandfather is Louis Elmer Meddaugh, son of John Washington Meddaugh, and these are Nancy Udell (called Betsy in my photo album, I believe in error) and Robert Meddaugh.  They are buried in the Croswell Cemetery.

William Meddaugh and his wife, whom I believe is Jannice Ferguson Meddaugh.  They are described in my grandfather's album as his uncle and aunt, which would mean that William is his father's brother.  The only William Meddaugh that is his brother married Jannice, so these people must be them.  The picture is taken in Flint, Michigan, as are many of the other Meddaugh pictures I have in these albums that I have of the Meddaugh family.

This is a picture of Henry Middleton, his wife and his sister.  I do not know which woman is which, nor do I know their relationship to the Meddaugh clan, but since this great picture was in my Meddaugh album, I'm including it here, hoping that someone may know who they are, and how they may be related to any Meddaugh women or men.  If you know, please contact me at the name link below.  This picture is on a tintype.

The death notice I've shown here is for Julia Mills, who died on November 25, 1886, at age 52 years, 2 months and 15 days.  That would make her birth date September 10, 1834.  At this point, I'm not sure who she is, but since this death notice was in my grandfather's photo album, I am sure she was important to the family.
